Julie Clarke

Georgia                                         Historical Non -Fiction

Both Julie and her husband, Rick, are Civil War re-enactors.  They were extras in a short film on historical rural churches in Georgia.  The film aired on Georgia Public TV in 2017.  They have been researching Rick's family for over 20 years.  Their research led them to Rick's ancestor Dr. Noel D'Alvigny and his daughter, Pauline.

During the battle of Atlanta, Pauline D'Alvigny Campbell was forced to leave her home on Peachtree creek and her life as a farmer's wife.  She became the Matron of one of the hospitals in Atlanta.  A Civil War nurse is told through Pauline's personal accounts and writings complied by her 3rd Great grandson - Rick Clarke and his wife Julie.
