Lugos had given his word when the world was still young, before he’d endured the wrenching pain of her soul being torn from his. Lifetime after lifetime she’d returned when he’d needed her most, when the apathy of his kind had eaten away at his resolve and his heartfelt vow seemed pointless. One would think he’d be able to protect a single mortal, after all, he was a god. But two long centuries had passed since he’d held her, since he’d been whole. Now, she was back and Lugos had a decision to make; claim the only woman he’d ever loved, or deny his soul’s deepest craving and grant Keely a chance at a peaceful life without the dangers that populated his world. For five years, Lugos had chosen the latter with the hope that the fates might overlook them this time. That was still his plan when the goddess Rhiannon called seeking his help. Lugos should have known better.
Deegan Volkov is a werewolf—a direct descendant of the first dark soul who’d committed the vile crime for which his ancestor and the other four had been cursed. It was his fate to suffer.
The monster that dwelt inside Deegan had always taken far more than it ever gave. So, when he was faced with yet another impossible choice, Deegan had known no other way. No other path had been open to him. But this last agonizing loss had been too much for his heart to bear, and he’d howled his pain and despair to an uncaring moon never expecting a miracle—or her.
How could Eva Azoulf exist? She was a female werewolf in a world where all the cursed were men and the very last of a bloodline reported to have died out nearly a century ago. She was an impossibility, one that Deegan’s wolf was set on claiming for himself. But the man in Deegan craved more than just her body. To heal his torn and tattered soul, he yearned to find a way to win her heart.
Gabriela could not remember a time when life had been easy. Darren, her roommate, insisted she needed a keeper most days. And perhaps he was right. She didn’t try to read minds – not often. It’s just that sometimes, her feeble barriers couldn’t keep the noise at bay. So, when she began to escape her dreary life by daydreaming of the perfect man, Gabriela hadn’t thought too much about it. The warrior who met her in those dreamscapes was strong and confident, all the things she was not. Gabriela never once thought a man that beautiful could be real—or that he might be a demon.

I began this journey as an escape; not that my life was terrible in 2009. In many ways I’ve lived a charmed life, but I have always yearned to travel and in the early 2000’s I needed to escape the stress of never having enough money. The only way to accomplish that was to create worlds of my own. And so I wrote books I’d want to read and designed worlds I wanted to live inside – if only I could. I’ve reached a point in my life where I believe I have a lot to say about the nature of love and commitment. I’m lucky in that I can write fulltime now and I am taking advantage of that gift every single day.
